Breakfast: Plain toasted bagel spread with sunlite spread and peanut butter. Cup of black coffee with a teaspoont demerara sugar.

Lunch: You've probably noticed I love Taifun products. I've tried most of their stuff except these "Pizza Fillets".

I couldn't quite think of how to use them, or what they meant by "Pizza" am I supposed to put it on a pizza? Does it taste like a pizza?? All the packaging says is that it's good with noodles or in salads which didn't help much. My gut instinct was telling me to fry it up and have it in a sandwich but as I was trying this for the first time I opted to simply fry it in olive oil and served it over a bed of couscous cooked in Kallo Tomato and Herb Stock. I would normally have some veg with this, broccoli would have been good but I made this just prior to a big shop when the veg drawer was empty!

Well, as with all their stuff so far I really loved it and yes, I suppose there is a sort of pizza taste to it but my original instinct was correct - this would make an outstanding sandwich. In fact something about it reminded me of the old Subway Veggie Patty. Thankfully there were 2 fillets there as I know what lunch is going to be tomorrow! Toasted french bread, lettuce, tomato, Plamil Organic Mayo and once of these fried fillets. Yum!! Looking forward to it already :-)

Afternoon Snack: Cup of black coffee with a teaspoon demerara sugar. Few squares of dark chocolate. A few grapes.

Dinner: Well, I had a go at making a garlic mushroom pate and I was going to have it in the evening with some wine and french bread but was feeling lazy at dinner time so had it then instead:

Had a glass of white wine, few slices of french bread spread with Pure Olive Spread, some with the mushroom pate and some with Taifun Basil or Smoked Tofu and some grapes. Nice easy dinner.

I know the pate doesn't look very appetising (does pate ever??) But it was really, really good - nice and garlicky with great flavour. In fact I went back for more and put some of the Taifun slices you see there back....I think I know what my evening snack is going to be too! Might just have to blog this one.

**Edit - and I did! Garlic Mushroom Pate :-)

Evening Snack: Yup, a couple slices of french bread spread with garlic mushroom pate and 2 glasses of white wine and a bit of Bombay Mix.
